Product Overview

Stainless steel sheet and plate are flat products supplied in rectangular or square form. Sheets typically refer to thicknesses below 3.0 mm, while plates refer to thicknesses of 3.0 mm and above. The chromium-nickel alloy content forms a passive oxide film on the surface, providing exceptional resistance to corrosion, oxidation, and staining in harsh environments.

Manufacturing Processes

  • Cold Rolling (Sheet): Thickness 0.3–3.0 mm; high dimensional accuracy, superior flatness, and excellent surface finish. Produced from hot-rolled coils that are pickled and then cold-reduced.

  • Hot Rolling (Plate): Thickness 3.0–120 mm; high strength, suitable for heavy-duty structural and industrial applications.

  • Annealing & Pickling: Removes surface scale and restores corrosion resistance after rolling.

  • Cutting-to-Size: Available in standard dimensions, custom lengths, and widths. Shearing, plasma cutting, laser cutting, and water-jet cutting services available.

  • Levelling & Flattening: Ensures superior flatness for precision applications.

Material Grades

  • Austenitic (304, 304L, 316L, 310S, 321): Non-magnetic or weakly magnetic; excellent corrosion resistance, good deep-drawing and forming properties.

  • Ferritic (430, 409): Magnetic; cost-effective with good stress-corrosion resistance and moderate formability.

  • Duplex (2205, 2507): High strength and exceptional resistance to chloride stress corrosion.

  • Martensitic (420, 440C): High hardness and wear resistance (available on request).

Surface Finishes

Finish Description Application
No.1 Hot rolled, annealed and pickled. Rough, matte surface. Industrial tanks, heavy equipment
2B Cold rolled, bright annealed, and skin-passed. Smooth, reflective, non-directional. General industrial, kitchenware, appliances
BA (Bright Annealed) Cold rolled and bright annealed under controlled atmosphere. High gloss, mirror-like. Decorative, automotive trim, architectural
8K Mirror Highly polished mirror finish, extremely reflective. Elevator panels, decorative interiors, signage
No.4 (Brushed) Polished with abrasive belt (120–240 grit). Fine brushed lines, satin appearance. Architectural panels, cladding, food equipment
HL (Hairline) Continuous long straight brush lines. Building facades, decorative columns
Embossed / Patterned Surface with raised patterns (e.g., chequer plate, diamond, linen). Floor plates, walkways, anti-slip surfaces
