Product Overview

Stainless steel pipe/tube is a long, hollow product supplied in straight lengths or coils (for small‑diameter tubing). It is manufactured either as seamless (no weld seam) or welded (with a longitudinal weld). The chromium‑nickel alloy content provides outstanding resistance to oxidation, pitting, and crevice corrosion in aggressive environments.

Manufacturing Processes

  • Seamless Pipe: Produced by hot extrusion or cold drawing (cold‑finished). Suitable for high‑pressure and high‑temperature applications.

  • Welded Pipe: Made from strip/plate rolled and welded longitudinally (ERW, EFW, or laser welded). Available in larger diameters and lower cost.

  • Cold Drawing / Cold Rolling: For precise dimensions and improved surface finish.

  • Heat Treatment: Annealing, solution annealing, or stress relieving to restore corrosion resistance.

Material Grades

  • Austenitic (304, 304L, 316L, 310S, 321): Most common; excellent corrosion resistance and formability.

  • Ferritic (430, 409): Magnetic, good resistance to stress corrosion.

  • Duplex (2205, 2507): High strength and excellent chloride resistance.

  • Nickel Alloys (optional).

Shape Options

  • Round Pipe / Tube

  • Square Pipe / Tube

  • Rectangular Pipe / Tube

  • Oval / Special shapes on request

Surface Finishes

  • Pickled (removes scale and oxides)

  • Polished (various grits – 180, 320, 400, 600)

  • Bright Annealed (BA) – shiny, reflective

  • Mirror Finish (8K) – for decorative use

  • Sandblasted / Bead‑blasted

  • Coated / Painted (custom)
